Sports, freetime and recreation centre Helker Berg

Ample sports facilities are available to the natinal team Serbia and Montenegro for their training units. The inauguration of these facilities was in the year 1999. They are idyllically situated at a border of a wood and surrounded by a closed hiking trail network.
The lawn is located amidst athletics facilities with a running track, a small field with a mobile basketball facility and all nececarry equipment. The whole field is surrounded by an earth wall formed to grass-tribune, on which a few thousand spectators can take a seat.
Moreover there are two cinder-fields with another small field next to them and beachvolleyball facilities at the Helker Berg. Outside the walls of these facilities the roller-skate-facility of the town is placed.
The sports centre is basically used by the sports club DJK-VFL Billerbeck, with more than 3000 members. It built its club house in the centre of the whole sports area and it manages it by itself. Even for the Billerbeck’s schools and other sports clubs the “Helker Berg” is a famous goal.
